Everything will be okay mommy, don’t be scared.
that scene tho just broke me
Srsly I just cannot handle it! I still have so many freaking feelings since last once upon a time episode! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH It was just so fucking good~! For once I wasn’t mad at Emma aka screaming at her like WTF Emma!?, like I usually am. Her character actually made sense for a change. And seeing Regina with baby Henry, my heart just cannot take it! It just overflowing with happy feelings. And then the fairy queen toward the end of the episode was just the fucking whipped cream and cherry on top! The fact that the pixie dust glowed once she was talking with Regina. :D YAY Can every episode be this genius PLEASE!?
Long live Swan Fairy Queen, can that please be a thing!? Just make it canon already! And I need more Regina raising Henry scenes! Yes! So darn fucking cute!
Literally BURSTING with FEELINGS at it all!

But she is familiar with certain aspects of how you felt before Henry.
I was reminded today that I am not alone.
Because of all the people that tried to show Emma that she is loved. Of all the hugs she had. Of all the smiles they gave her. Of all the words they said to her. It was Regina who made her realise that she IS loved. That she has a family and people caring for her. It’s Regina. Because Emma trusts Regina. She knows that Regina would never say something like that if it wasn’t true. She never really believed Snow or David when they said that they were happy they found her because deep down she couldn’t help but think about how they gave her up. Regina would not have any benefit to say that to Emma, yet she tells her and Emma listens to her and begins to accept that she is loved. Regina tells her something that is probably the most important thing that Emma had to know to find her strength. And they don’t talk about it but they understand each other, they know just what to say and how to react to calm each other. And that’s why Emma doesn’t even try to tell her that she’s wrong because she knows the only thing to do is to tell her that she is right, even if it’s heartbreaking. And once again, they unintentionally find strength in each other.
"This tree attacks the regret inside anyone who comes here."
As with Emma, people expected Regina to play many roles throughout her life. Her mother wanted the perfect queen; Rumple wanted a monster to cast his curse; the Charmings needed a villain to feel validated as heroes. However all Regina wanted was freedom of choice, to be able to choose her own fate. Adopting Henry was her first real choice, free of anyone’s influence and born out of her own desire for happiness.
